MICHAEL PHILLIPS

Michael Phillips has spent his whole life living on and fishing in the streams of North West Michigan. Currently, he resides on a phenomenal migratory salmon and steelhead tributary of the Big Man in the town of Kaleva, in Manistee County. Flip, as friends call him, loves to chase King Salmon and Steelhead but also enjoys targeting resident Browns and Rainbows. Further, he is a public school teacher who is passionate about introducing kids to this craft, all the way to seasoned anglers. His main program is float fishing using variable gear including fly, spincast, and centerpin reels. He exclusively runs a Hooligan XL raft and enjoys every aspect of being a skinny water specialist.
